I began saying I wanted to be a teacher when I was in kindergarten. At a young age, I knew that I wanted to help others love to learn, just as my kindergarten teacher helped me.
I earned my degree and teaching credential from California State University Northridge 13 years ago, and have been having a blast teaching the 4th and 5th grade since then.
In class, I enjoy reading, writing, solving math problems, doing science projects, learning about history, creating art, and most of all, laughing!
When I am not at school, I am usually at home with my wonderful husband, my two lovely daughters, my sweet mother, and my two small dogs. Around the house, I enjoy gardening, watching my daughters pretend to dance in a grand ballet, and listening to salsa music. Although I don't much enjoy the hustle and bustle of travel, I do enjoy visiting local museums, beaches, theme parks, and all of the great landmarks that our state has to offer.
Some other of my favorite things are pickles, the color yellow, sunflowers, cheeseburgers, garden gnomes, and music.
I am sure you will find out much more about me soon, and I am certainly excited to find out about you! See you in room 19! 💛
